The University of Huddersfield's Informatics Showcase (IM16) event featured an array of digital media design and development exhibitions from final year web technology and multimedia students. Work ranged from website development, mobile applications, graphic design and animation. The marketing team wanted a video showreel to advertise the event through their website, social media and around university campus.

The video was designed to suit and enhance the IM16 brand and theme so that it would fit with the website and promotional material. As the logo represented the skills of both design students (pink triangle) and technology students (light blue triangle), the icon was animated to make the triangles tie together and form the dark blue hue. This fit the brand as "Transform. Innovate. Elevate." was the theme (with the acronym spelling TIE) which was even further enhanced by the tagline "Tying our skills together".

The animation was fast paced and set to upbeat music to match the youthful and informal yet professional tone of the event. Transitions were ranged and modish to keep it interesting and engaging for the full length of the video.
